Eclipsum Demo Video

Umbrosa is particularly known for its interesting and expressive canopy shapes as well as the grace and usability of their distinctive and elegant patio umbrellas. The Eclipsum UX is a celebration of that phenomenon in celestial mechanics when one orb moves in between another and our line of sight, creating shade, coolness, and an ethereal halo of light.

This updated version of an Umbrosa classic features a few improvements upon the original design: instead of hooks securing the canopy to the circular rim, there are now snap-ties to reduce wear on the fiberglass ribs of the canopy. There are also more suspension points for the stability of the canvas to withstand higher winds, as well as adjustable tension. The circular rim rotates 360 degrees horizontally to tilt at any angle from side to side, and the canopy also tilts vertically along the mast to provide omnidirectional shade.

The mast is constructed of naturally anodized aluminum that resists corrosion and oxidation, creating a durable tarnish and scuff-resistant finish. Choose from 2 styles: Architecture or Full Black. Architecture combines a Marble fabric canopy with a Papyrus White frame and base. Full Black combines a black fabric canopy and a black frame and base. The fiberglass rib structure of the canopy provides flexibility to reduce resistance to wind and put less stress on the canopy and fasteners.

There are 3 different ways to mount the Eclipsum: a mobile tile base weighed down with tiles you can find at a local hardware store; a concrete anchorage that must be poured with concrete for installation in the soft ground; and the included round support which can be bolted onto a deck or concrete slab.

Whether it's for a 5-star tropical resort or a residential patio, the Eclipsum brings an elegant silhouette that will elevate any surroundings.

Design: Nicolas Verraver and Gauthier Desplanque. 100% Produced in Belgium.
